Rural Outreach Initiative: Elberta Elementary School

The Eastern Shore Art Center recently partnered with Eastern Shore Repertory Theater to visit Elberta Elementary School for an engaging “Meet the Director” event. Over 400 students participated in this behind-the-scenes experience as part of our rural outreach initiative.

During the event, students learned about various aspects of theater production, including set and costume design, the extensive work involved in staging a show, and the teamwork necessary to bring it all together. They also enjoyed a sneak peek of one of the show’s songs, building excitement for their upcoming live performance in two weeks.
