The Eastern Shore Art Center Awarded $10,000 from The Community Foundation of South Alabama in Support of Outreach in Four Counties!

The Eastern Shore Art Center (ESAC) was a recipient of $10,000 through the Arts and Culture grant program funded by The Community Foundation of South Alabama. This grant will join support from the Daniel Foundation of Alabama, the J. L. Bedsole Foundation, and the Craft Family Foundation to support ESAC outreach work in Baldwin County as well as in Mobile, Escambia and Monroe counties.
ESAC’s team will work with many partners to deliver programming including the Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama, Baldwin County Trail Blazers, Fairhope Public Library, Eastern Shore Repertory Theater, The Pelican’s Nest Science Lab, Coastal Alabama Community College, USA Health Children’s and Women’s Hospital and additional USA Health rural facilities.
The programs will be created and run by Eastern Shore Art Center Community Outreach Director, Lindsey Lawrence.
“We remain steadfast in our support of nonprofits and programs dedicated to our local youth because we believe in the power of young minds to transform our community,” said Community Foundation of South Alabama President & CEO Rebecca Byrne. The Community Foundation of South Alabama strives to aid families, specifically kids, in its eight-county footprint. Annually, grant funding supports programs that address mental and behavioral health, family, education, work, racial equity and arts and culture.
