Board Member Spotlight: Beth Thomas

Beth Thomas is a proud graduate of Troy University. She began her career with Alabama Power in 1990 and currently serves as Public Affairs Manager for the company’s Mobile Division. In this role, she oversees media relations and communications efforts in southwest Alabama.

Beth is an active member of the Alabama Power Service Organization. She has served on multiple boards including Via Senior Center, McKemie Place Women’s Shelter, Public Relations Council of Alabama (Mobile Chapter), United Way of Baldwin County, Impact 100 and the Mobile Bay National Estuary Program. She is a past president of Partners for Environmental Progress and the Distinguished Young Women National Scholarship Program. She remains active in both of those organizations as well.

Along with her husband, Greg, Beth enjoys gardening, reading, cooking, traveling and spending time with her goldendoodle, Lucy.
