First Friday Art Walk

Eastern Shore Art Center Hosts First Friday Art Walk, September 4th! Free admission. Donations welcomed. Live music inside provided by Karin and Eric Marrero. Live music outside provided by the Path to Peace Choir.
NEW EXHIBIT: “SHELTER” Works by Will Jacks
Jacks’ work is made from basic photographic materials – silver gelatin paper, developer, and fixer. Light and time are requirements for their making. Photography, by definition, means “writing with light”. It does not mean “framing with camera”. The technical terms for the prints are chemigrams and lumen prints, and they are made without the use of a camera. They are references to places and moments I have observed. “Yet, I acknowledge that they don’t look like photographs; at least what we’ve all come to accept as such. And, that, to me, is the point.”
NEW EXHIBIT: Eastern Shore Camera Club / 16th Annual Photography Exhibit
Providing members, from beginners to professionals, with educational and skill building opportunities in the art of photography. Membership in the Eastern Shore Camera Club is open to anyone with an interest in photography and all skill levels are welcome.
Growing up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast was just the beginning of Tyler’s love of unintentional beauty, and attention to things often unseen. After moving to Fairhope, Tyler’s mother, Jennifer, persuaded him to take a Beginning Handbuilding class at ESAC with her. He was instantly drawn to the ability to create something beautiful and functional from the earth. This is where his love of clay began. While he creates most of his work at his studio, he continues to take classes at ESAC. The opportunity to create and share his love of clay is what makes ceramics a way of life for him, not just art.
Works by ESAC’s Artist Level Members and above. This gallery changes out every two months and features all sorts of art mediums, all for sale!
All exhibits will be on display through October 30, 2026.
