Forget about perfection! Let’s experiment and have some fun! In this class we’ll use acrylics and some mixed media to explore color and texture without being constrained by rules. This class is perfect for artists at any level!
Supply list:
– Acrylic paints – Bring whatever paints you prefer, but make sure you have several bold colors.
– Paint brushes – Again, your choice of brushes, but try to get a wide range of sizes and at least one large brush, such as a 3” brush.
– Paint palette
– Palette knives
– Container to hold water
– Sponges – Just one will do, but if you want, you can get a few with different textures
– Canvas or acrylic painting paper – 11x14s, or larger if you want
– Paper towels or a hand towel
– Mixed media options: Feel free to bring oil pastels, soft pastels, or any other media that you like. I tend to like how oil pastels look on acrylic paint, and this will be a medium I frequently use. If you like to use fabric or collage materials, those would be great additions. These are not strictly required but are a great addition!
