EXPRESS YOURSELF!
Description: Bring your characters to life through expressive faces, dynamic poses, and fun dialogue in this art class! In this class, you will learn how to draw emotions, write realistic conversations, and turn your ideas into your very own comic strip or short scene. This class is perfect for young artists who have some experience in comic making but want to know how to take their art and writing to the next level.
Sketchbook, art pens, pencils, and a ruler.
On top of this, you can bring any other supplies you would be interested in using to color your comic, such as markers or paints.
If you have access to a drawing tablet or iPad, you can bring that to use instead of a sketchbook, pens, and pencils, but if you choose this option, make sure you have drawing software downloaded on your device, such as Photoshop or Procreate. If you do not have access to any software, you can also try Krita to get you started, which is a free digital painting application.
