CHILDREN'S CLASSES

ESAC UPDATE 3/16/20:

The Eastern Shore Art Center will be temporarily closing the facility to the public beginning Tuesday, March 17 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Until further notice, our plan is to reopen the galleries on April 13. The health and well-being of our staff, their families, our visitors, students, exhibitors and many volunteers who assist on a daily basis is our top priority.
 
  • Classes: The Spring term will be shortened to four weeks. Classes will begin April 21st.
  • Workshops: Scheduled workshops are being assessed on a case-by-case basis. Please watch for email updates.
  • First Friday Art Walk: April 3rd Cancelled
  • Weddings and Special Event Rentals: These are being assessed on a case by case basis.

 

The Baldwin County Commission has declared a state of emergency. We will continuing to monitoring the COVID-19 virus pandemic updates and will follow directives of the World Health Organization, Center for Disease Control, or other national, state, or local governmental agencies. ESAC staff availability will be limited during this time so please follow us on social media for continued updates.

Spring 2020 Classes and Workshops

NEW TO ESAC! Creative Cargo Kits!

Students taking selected courses at ESAC will be recipients of Creative Cargo kits. Sponsored by the Alabama State Council on the Arts, Creative Cargo will give students the ability to “take the studio home”. ESAC and ASCA hope to encourage young students to continuously create and innovate during their free time.  Because of ASCA’s generosity, we are able to outfit the kits with unique art supplies that are not in the typical household junk drawer.  From high quality mediums to technical tools, students will have access to items that will enhance their interest in the visual and ceramic arts.

This Creative Cargo includes over 42 pottery tools including mud tools, sponges, needle tools, texturizers, clay knives, an apron, and more!!!

“Intro to Drawing” Students will be gifted the following:

  • Princeton 1″ Wash Brush
  • Small Line Brush
  • Looneng Artist Willow Vine Charcoal
  • Pentel Hi Polymer Eraser Block
  • Dr. Ph Martin’s Bombay India Ink
  • Arteza Professional Drawing Pencils – set of 12

Refund Policy:

A $25 fee will be charged for all class refunds due to a withdrawal.  Refunds will be given up to seven (7) days prior to class start date.  Thereafter, no refunds will be given, unless the ESAC cancels the class.

 

A $75 fee will be charged for all workshop refunds due to a withdrawal.  Refunds will be given up to one (1) month prior to the workshop start date.  Thereafter, no refunds will be given, unless the ESAC cancels the workshop.
