The evolution of Craig Reynolds’ art career began early on. Along with the masters NC Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth, Howard Pile, and Sargent, his father was one the largest artistic influences in his young life.
Reynolds’ full-time professional career as an artist began in 2005 and he began participating in National Plein Air events by 2009. Mingle with his love of Plein air is his love of traveling. Along with 10 to 12 annual Plein air events, Reynolds and his wife enjoy planning “painting vacations”, traveling to favorite locales such as the coast of Maine and the Chesapeake Bay area of Maryland. Craig continues to be inspired by great old barns, farm scenes, and landscapes. He hears the history told by well-earned scars of the barnacle laden working boats in old harbors.
Without a single word, he strives for his paintings to tell “the story”.
Join us at ESAC from 10 am to 2 pm on Oct 24, 2021, for “Basics of Plein Air” with Theresa Grillo Laird. This four-hour workshop will discuss the elements needed to capture the perfect Plein Air painting. From tips to tricks to tools, Theresa will get you ready for Plein Air Fairhope 2021!
All artists participating in Plein Air Fairhope can attend at a discounted rate! Be sure to choose the “Plus “Basics of Plein Air” option on this page to register for the event and the workshop (Total: $140).
