A concentration is a body of related works that demonstrate a student’s commitment to the thoughtful investigation of a specific visual idea. Advanced painters will create a series of related paintings in oil or acrylic, subject matter of their own choosing. (Coastal Landscapes, Alla Prima Still Lifes, etc.) During class, instructor Chris Murray will critique and offer suggestions for improvement. On the last day of class, painters will bring in their completed concentration for a final critique. This is intended as a space for advanced painters to learn and grow along with their peers. Come join some of the best artists in the area and let’s paint! *This class takes place at the same time as Advanced Painting.
SKILL LEVELS:
Acrylic : Intermediate- advanced
Oil : beginner – advanced
SUPPLIES:
This is an advanced class, please use whatever materials/brands you are comfortable with. The supply list is my recommendation for beginning oil painters or painters looking to switch from acrylic to oil.
