ESAC welcomes Dolores Hydock in a dramatic presentation of the classic story written by Truman Capote.

Free Admission. Donations welcomed. Holiday refreshments served.

A Christmas Present from The Nall Foundation to the City of Fairhope.

ABOUT THE STORY

Writer Truman Capote spent part of his childhood in Monroeville, Alabama, living with elderly cousins. One of those cousins, Miss Sook Faulk, became, as he said, “his first friend.” With humor, affection, and exquisite language, Capote painted a portrait of a special time and place in this tender, funny, and bittersweet story. Life in a small Alabama town, cherished traditions, and the magic of an unbreakable friendship are brought to vivid life in this dramatic presentation of a classic Alabama story.

Special thanks to The Truman Capote Literary Trust for permission to present this story.
