Biloxi Artist Paulette Dove is an oil painter drawn to the almost-human qualities of rabbit hares. “These creatures\, with their expressive faces and movements; serve as symbols of emotion\, vulnerability and instinct. Through my art\, I use them to explore the blurred line between human and animal – where our shared connections to nature and each other become clear.” Work will be on display through February 28\, 2025.\n\nFree admission. SUMMARY:Members’ Sales Gallery Change-out
DESCRIPTION:To participate: Must be Artist Level Member (or above) May submit only one piece per change-out. Artwork should not exceed 30″ in any direction for display. Works MUST be framed or gallery wrapped\, wired and ready for hanging. Artwork will not be accepted if it has been previously displayed in the Art Center’s Members’ Gallery. Artwork must have been created within the last 2 years. \nIf the artwork is sold during this period\, ESAC will notify the artist and it may be replaced with a new piece! ESAC retains a 30% commission on sold work. Unsold work must be picked up on the day of change out. Participants will incur a $3/day storage fee for any pieces that remain by closing on the Wednesday following change out. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArtwork MUST be submitted on the date of take in.  Once the show has been hung\, late entries will not be accepted.  Due to limited space\, we will accept art on a first come basis. \nArtwork will be accepted from 9am – 2pm on the following change-out date: \nFebruary 28\, 2025 \n** First come\, first served! We only have enough room for 50 pieces.

It is within walking distance to Mobile Bay\, many specialty shops and restaurants. This is a cultural and social highlight for the Gulf Coast and attracts more than 250\,000 visitors! \nThe art show has included prestigious\, international and regional fine artists for the past 52 years. The story follows a hardworking young waitress named Tiana who is an aspiring chef and dreams of opening her own restaurant. Her dream takes a little detour when she meets Prince Naveen\, who has been turned into a frog by an evil Dr. Facilier. Mistaking her for a princess and hoping to break the spell\, Naveen plants a kiss on poor Tiana\, turning her into a frog as well. The celebratory evening will spotlight the stunning architecture of the restored Barn\, reimagined as an elegant gathering place for friends and family set on its beautiful grounds. Artwork must have been created within the last 2 years. \nIf the artwork is sold during this period\, ESAC will notify the artist and it may be replaced with a new piece! ESAC retains a 30% commission on sold work. Unsold work must be picked up on the day of change out. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a community celebration of painting in the great outdoors! 60 painters will be taking it to the streets – and the bay front pier!! Registration will open in August for interested participants. \nNOVEMBER 3-8\, 2025\nEastern Shore Art Center is thrilled to host the 7th Annual Plein Air Fairhope event. 60 artists will be painting the area!\n*** What is Plein Air? *** \nPlein air painting\, is the act of painting outdoors. This method contrasts with studio painting or academic rules that might create a predetermined look. \n\n*** What can you expect from Plein Air Fairhope 2025? ***\n\nYou can participate in Plein Air Fairhope as an artist\, student\, patron\, or audience member.\n\n\nNov 3 – Nov 8\, 2025: Plein Air Fairhope Paint Out! 60 participating artists will paint the town from sunrise to sunset! They’ll be downtown\, by the pier\, local farmlands\, and more… All Painter Registrations are SOLD OUT!\n\nNov 4 – Nov 7\, 2025: Plein Air Fairhope Wet Room. As painters finish artworks\, they will be showcasing them at ESAC on tables while they dry and before they are framed for the official exhibit. Get a special sneak peek or purchase one for your own collection before the rush!\n\nNov 5\, 2 pm to 3 pm: Gallery Talk. Join PAF Judge Karen Philpott for a Gallery Talk about her plein air painting experiences and what to look for as a show judge. $15 per person.
