AMY ECHOLS is the Executive Director of Kentuck Art Center and Festival in Historic Downtown Northport, Alabama. The award-winning festival and art center, featured in Smithsonian Magazine and Southern Living, engages thousands of children and adults in art and cultural activities. Kentuck brings an annual $5 million economic impact to the community as visitors from across the nation come to soak in the Kentuck experience.

Amy earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a minor in art history from Auburn University. She worked with The Warner Art Collection of Gulf States Paper, and served as Jon Warner’s private art collection manager and curator before joining Kentuck. She actively seeks ways to engage community with the arts in support of artists. Amy is a member of the boards of both the Tuscaloosa Tourism and Sports Commission and the West Alabama Chamber of Commerce. Her service on the City of Tuscaloosa’s Public Arts committee and Elevate Parks and Recreation subcommittee allows her to contribute to positive cultural change within the community.

Public relations/marketing professional and painter BECKY BOOKER traces her first appreciation of art to a childhood fascination with her grandmother’s crewel embroidery and with an aunt’s collections from abroad. Becky’s love of travel has connected her firsthand with art experiences that have shaped her perspective and appreciation of arts and culture. She studied oil painting with Judy Buckley and has workshopped with the Cumberland Society of Painters, Robert Johnson, and O’Conner Art Studio. In 2019, she shared her talents as one of four artists to create the Tuscaloosa Bicentennial Quilt under the direction of internationally known quilter Yvonne Wells

Becky has served as an officer and board member of the Kentuck Art Center over the past decade and is an enthusiastic art supporter and collector. She is honored to serve as a judge for the 49th Annual Outdoor Art Show in 2021.
