We had a busy day with over 300 attendees! Children and adults alike created art and learned about the Monarch butterfly. We offered make-and-take art projects, butterfly themed art and plants for sale, and two showings of the documentary “The Mystical Migration of the Monarch”.
Special thanks to all of our volunteers, artists, Art Club students from Fairhope High School, our Honorary Event Chair Lenise Ligon, Suzanne Damrich and Fairn Whatley for showing their amazing film, the Baldwin County Master Gardeners for sharing their milkweed, Frios Gourmet Pops and many more!
I hate that I missed this event. Will you be doing it again?
Hi Augusta! We do not have another scheduled at this moment, but we are definitely brainstorming for a new event — with new animals and/or insects! In the meantime, make sure to check out our Kids Labs every First Friday. The next one is October 5th: https://esartcenter.org/product/ff-kids-lab-artistic-animals/
